Physical Therapy

This method helps the body to recover and prevents a large number of diseases. To get the best result, physical therapy is combined with other methods.

At our center, a qualified trainer creates an exercise plan in accordance with the patient’s disease and general health condition.

Studies have shown that insufficient physical activity (hypokinesis) reduces the body's resistance and can cause the development of a huge number of diseases.

Continuous rest caused by a disease or an injury leads to a decrease in functioning of the body and thereby aggravates the general condition by slowing down the healing process and contributing to the development of complications.

Therefore, undergoing physical therapy supervised by an experienced trainers is a crucial part of recovery treatment.

THE EFFECTS OF PHYSICAL THERAPY:

  • Activation of physiological functions
  • Adaptation of tissues and organs to a new condition
  • Stimulation of recovery
  • Restoration of the water-salt balance
  • Metabolism normalization
  • Psycho-emotional state normalization
  • Prevention of further disease development
  • Formation and enhancement of new skills

To reach the best result, it is better to start using physical therapy at early stages.

Physical therapy exercises can be divided into 2 groups: ideomotor exercises and gymnastic exercises.

Ideomotor exercises are performed in thought. They are prescribed for patients with paresis and paralysis.

Gymnastic exercises develop strength, endurance, and balance and restore coordination and mobility of joints.

Patients can perform the following types of exercises:

  • Static exercises are aimed at straining the muscles. They include holding free weights, supporting one’s weight on simulators and on the floor, etc. They develop strength and endurance and prevent muscle atrophy.
  • Stretching exercises are aimed at muscle relaxation and relieving muscle fatigue.
  • Passive exercises are performed by the instructor. The patient doesn’t feel muscle tension. Such exercises are prescribed for patients with paresis and paralysis. They restore motor activity and are usually combined with ideomotor exercises.
  • Respiratory exercises have a beneficial effect on all tissues, organs, and systems. They normalize breathing, help strengthen the respiratory muscles, and prevent the stasis development.
  • Corrective exercises affect the spine and correct the posture.
